Tokio Hotel: conquering America!

German rock band Tokio Hotel has sold over two million copies all over the world. Thanks to the success of their first album in English, Scream, they’re ready to conquer America. Meeting with the twins Bill and Tom!

Sometimes, the fans get over excited for seeing their idols. What was the most surprising thing you’ve ever saw?

Bill: In Los Angeles entered our hotel room through the window. We were at the second floor. We still don’t know how she climbed so high! And a fan also gave us a star as a present. Somewhere in the sky there’s a star called Tokio Hotel.
Tom: Our fans come from far places, and they sleep wherever they can just to see us. That’s truly cool.

Which song is your favourite to play on stage?

Tom: “Raise Your Hands”. We wrote that song especially for the audience, for our fans.
Bill: In my opinion, I really like the song “Scream”, because it’s one of our first songs. It’s really good to be able to perform on stage and hear the crowd singing with you.

Which are the highlights and bad moments when touring?

Bill: The most difficult thing is that we don’t have, at all, private life. We’re everyday on the road, don’t have our own bed and can’t be with our family and friends. Sometimes, it’s pretty rough.
Tom: However, that allows us to perform on stage, and then all is worth it. We like the promotion, the interviews, the photos… but what we like the most are the shows.
Bill: We also love to travel everywhere, and sleeping in different cities each night.

Do you carry with you the same things to anyplace you go?

Bill: Each member of the band carries seven or eight suitcases, which make us, have a lot of baggage. As I don’t have a fixed residence, I always take everything I have with me.
Tom: We take everything we have with us.

Which music did you use to listen to when you were younger?

Bill: We’re all different from each other, even when it comes to music. I love Coldplay and Keane.
Tom: When I started playing guitar, I listened to Aerosmith. I was also a great Joe Perry’s fan. Now, in my free time, I listen to a lot of German hip-hop.

Do you have any crush for some celebrity?

Bill: Tom and I love the Olsen twins!
Tom: I guess that’s because they’re twins like us. I also love Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum… too long list!

Your new album contains songs from your two first albums. How did you choose the songs?

Tom: We simply choose the ones we preferred.
Bill: We wanted to select diverse songs and still confirm that we were Tokio Hotel. In the album you can find ballads and tracks with some more rhythm.

Is there any song you wanted to include in the album, but still you haven’t?

Tom: No, we selected all the songs we wanted.

If you could go on tour with any band, which one would you choose?

Tom: I would love to go on tour with a girl’s band, like The Pussycat Dolls! *laughs*
Bill: Every rock band wants to go on tour with The Rolling Stones! That would be awesome!

In which country the fans are more intense?

Bill: That’s hard to say. I think we have the best fans in the whole world, no matter if we’re in Europe, the US or Canada. It’s insane!
Tom: We’re very welcomed in every place we visit.
Bill: The fans are always there for us. Plus, they camp outside the venues where we perform. That’s really unbelievable!

You got big success around the world. Do you thing it’s weird to start it all over again in America?

Tom: Yes, for a German band it’s a great opportunity visiting the US.
Bill: It’s amazing: three years ago we couldn’t believe we would be so successful in Germany and Europe. We didn’t even think about coming to the US and also perform in Canada. We’re very happy.

Are you happy with the reactions from the American public?

Tom: We’re just starting… But this success we’re having is way more than we ever expected.

Which American city is your favourite now?

Tom: We can’t answer that, because we’ve only visited New York and Los Angeles.
Bill: I loved NY, but I also liked L.A. There we could go to the beach every days, and it’s always beautiful!
Tom: The girls are really cute in both cities. That’s important!

Where does the name Tokio Hotel comes from?

Bill: In the beginning we were Devilish. But we wanted to find a different name, a suitable one. All of us love big cities so, we chose Tokyo (Tokio in German). Once we dreamed about travelling all over the world and sleeping in hotels, we added Hotel.

Where do you see yourselves in the end of 2008?

We have many concerts in the next months. Then, we’ll be working in studio. We will write new songs and record a new album. I hope we can do it all by the end of the year!

Interview with Tom :

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

-Was it difficult for you to recognize him without the hair and make-up?

Tom: Well, it’s him, our lovely Bill.
He delights us! His style is so personal; it’s one of a kind.

-It’s said that having a girl in each port is a natural thing for you…

Tom: That’s true. I can’t deny it. I’m a young boy and there are so many pretty girls out there, I couldn’t commit with only one of them.

-Try to remind and tell us how many girls you’ve been with.

Tom: Ok, around 25 girls!

-That’s a bit scary, isn’t it? How old have you started?

Tom: At the age of 12. Since then I haven’t had any trouble. I think the girls notice that I’m the one with more experience, so they can’t get away from me. (Laughs)

-What is your tactic, to keep them in your hands?

Tom: Honestly, I don’t have any special trick. It depends a lot on the situation, the girl, the way I’m feeling…

-What bugs you the most?

Tom: When they play naive and make me waste my time. I'm a hunter who collects his preys. I like to hunt them slowly.

-And what should they have to be “hunted”?

Tom: There are few girls to whom I’d say no. If I do it, it’s for lack of time. A day only has 24 hours!!!

-Now tell us a place where you like to make love…

Tom: I really like to do it in the shower.

-And the rarest place you’ve ever done it…

Tom: In a park. The truth is that it wasn’t too good as I expected. Besides, there were too many bugs, and I hate it!!! So, I’d rather do it at home.

-Your worst experience was…

Tom: When I was 14, I was totally making out with a girl and my mom got home. It was my second time, and she cut of the mood.

-Is there something that bothers you?

Tom: Yeah, I don’t like when they get cheesy. I think that in sex people should talk less and scream more!!!

-Do you use to take fans with you to your hotel room?

Tom: A few. (laughs) If she’s pretty and if I like to be with her, I ask for her number and later I call her, to give mine or something like that…

-And with all those one-night-stands, did u ever fall in love?

Tom: I haven't found anyone so far. The truth is that I don’t believe in love. Well, I do on that love of one night!

-So, doing something crazy for love is out of sight, right?

Tom: I never did anything silly for women. The longest relationship I’ve ever had lasted two years, but I wasn’t in love at all…

-Do you think you’ll ever have something more serious?

Tom: I don’t know. I don’t say no to a serious relationship, but I don’t want it for now.

-Do you think you’re different from your brother?

Tom: Yes. Bill, for example, has been with girls, but now he wants to keep himself for his true love. I prefer to keep trying until I find it!

-Let’s make it easier, how’s your ideal girl?

Tom: I don’t have a concrete type. And if I had it, I wouldn’t tell you, or else I couldn’t go out anymore.

-Do you have any sex myth?

Tom: I really like the Olsen twins, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba and Kendra from the Playboy Mansion. I don’t have a bad taste, do I?

Message from Bill :

Hi guys it’s Bill! It’s been a pretty busy summer since our last stay here in the U.S.! We performed at tons of festivals all over Europe but now we are back in the States and the first thing I have to say is: THANK YOU so much for all your support these last few days. Being nominated at the MTV VMAs was really unbelievable for us! Your votes made this happen and we’re totally blown away – it’s sooo exciting!

But let’s have a look at what has happened so far in America: We had a great start in NYC where we spent most of our first week at MTV’s TRL, which was pretty cool.

Then, on Thursday night we had the kick off gig for our American concert run in New Jersey. The whole concert was wicked and we had an awesome time with all the fans!

After the New Jersey show we boarded our tour bus to head to Montreal, Canada where we performed at a festival and then it was already time to come back to the U.S.!

Actually, right now we are on our way to Cleveland and we’ll be spending all of August touring in the States so make sure to check our concert dates. We hope to see all of you guys at one of our shows!

Oh, the other three guys just told me to say “Hi” from them! Take care and hope to see you soon!

Bus Stop:

East German Village Sells Tokio Hotel Bus Stop

All future superstars aboard: A bus shelter in the hometown of twin stars Bill and Tom Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel is for sale on Ebay for €14,600.

It's not often that Ebay customers bid thousands of euros for bits of an old, vandalized bus stop from small town eastern Germany. But this week, the roof and the walls of a shelter in the tiny settlement of Loitsche are up for auction (German only) -- and combined, the six pieces are going for €14,600.

It's not just any bus stop of course. The shelter stands outside the childhood home of twin Tokio Hotel stars Bill and Tom Kaulitz and it has long been something of a pilgrimage site for thousands of pen- and paint-wielding fans. The shelter has been divided into six parts, with one of the side walls -- the one emblazoned with the message "Tom & Bill - all the best" scrawled over a large, black heart -- going for €4,000. For bargain hunters, a piece of the roof is currently priced at €500. The auction can best be found by searching under "Loitsche."

pic

The bus stop is being done away with because it was heavily damaged by revellers in May 1 celebrations this spring. Loitsche -- located in the eastern German state of Saxony-Anhalt -- is hoping that profits from the sale of the bus stop will be enough to finance a new shelter, currently planned for another part of town.

All of the pieces are available under Ebay's "buy it now" option and so far, no offers have been made and none sold. According to a town spokesperson on Sunday, around 100 people have come to the town to inspect the sections up for sale. One complained about the high price of the dubious souvenirs.

If the bus stop parts aren't sold within 10 days, they will be sawed into even smaller pieces and auctioned off separately to the highest bidders. Locals seem happy to be rid of the memorial to the pop stars: "A lot of fans came to visit and immortalized themselves in graffiti, drawings, and text, much to the distress of the community," reads the sale Web site.

Tokio Hotel Gush About VMA Nomination, 'Sexy' Rihanna, Jonas Brothers

'For us it's so cool to be nominated,' Bill Kaulitz says.

Tokio Hotel may still be somewhat new to the American scene, but they sure have some rabid fans.

This week, the guys told MTV News about one girl who risked her life for the chance to meet the band.

"She climbed into our bedroom - it was horrible," guitarist Tom Kaulitz groaned. His brother, singer Bill, added, "It was the second floor and it was really crazy. We were like, 'Oh ... hi?' But she was so sweet. She was very nervous."

The German rockers say they can't believe they've been nominated for a Best Pop Video VMA this year, especially since it puts them in company with the likes of such big names as the Jonas Brothers, Britney Spears and Panic at the Disco.

"We don't expect it, so for us it's so cool to be nominated," Bill said. "It's really, really special for us - it's America and it's our first American award, and that's so huge."

The band said they were nervous about going up against the Jonas Brothers for the award. "I think the Jonas Brothers are really [successful] in America," Bill said. "Everyone is talking about the Jonas brothers."

The guys said they don't think they're going to win, but they're happy enough just being nominated. "It's so crazy, I mean, I still can't believe it," Bill gushed. "Last year we were nominated at the [MTV Europe Music Awards; they won one] and it was the biggest thing we had, and now it is the Video Music Awards."

That excitement - as well as some nervousness - carries over to the band's U.S. tour, which kicks off in New Jersey on Thursday. "We are nervous before every concert," Bill said. "I think we are the most nervous band in the world. We are together nervous." The band plans to continue work on its next LP during the tour. "We are right now in the studio in Europe and we are producing our third record so I think there are some surprises," Bill added. "I've always have my laptop with me and a pen."

Back to the VMAs, the band has one more hope for that big night. "I think it would be so cool to meet Rihanna," Bill said, " 'cause she's so sexy."

The 25th VMAs are scheduled to take over the legendary Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood on September 7, with the Jonas Brothers already confirmed to perform. Of course, additional acts will be gracing the VMA stage this year, and those names will be unveiled in the coming weeks. British funnyman and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" co-star Russell Brand has been named the show's host.

New interview!

Tokio Hotel Talk Beer & Hasselhoff

May 15, 2008

tokio-hotel-interview-hallway.jpg
Georg, Bill, Tom & Gustav of Tokio Hotel

Bill, Tom, Gustav & Georg of TOKIO HOTEL were back in the MuchMusic building today, and so naturally, since it worked so well last time, I had to pull them aside for a couple of minutes to ask them a few of your fan questions. The guys were in good spirits and once again I was amazed at how relaxed, grounded and fun they were. Here's how it all went down with the German rockers...

First off, welcome back to Canada! You just performed at the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey. How was it?

Bill: It was really, really cool. It was the first time really performing after my surgery. We played three songs and there were a lot of fans and then after that we traveled to LA and in LA we had one concert and now we are here in Toronto.

So what do you prefer? Playing in festivals or your own concerts?

Bill: I prefer doing our own concerts.

Tom: Yeah, doing your own concerts are great. You have your own production team and your own crew and your own stage and stuff. It's great.

Bill: You know, festivals are always hard because there are so many bands and then it's just crazy backstage. Everyone is talking and there are so many people.

Georg: And you don't really get a sound check.

Tom: You always have sound problems in festivals, but I think at Bamboozle it was cool.

Bill: Yeah, it was good.

Did you get a chance to see any of the other bands perform?

Bill: Unfortunately, no. We had a really, really tight schedule.

Tom: Yeah, we had a lot of interviews to do and stuff like that and yeah, not much time.

What are some of your most embarrassing 'guilty pleasures'?

Tom: [laughs] I wouldn't admit to them. But Georg, he's a David Hasselhoff fan.

How "German" of you...

Georg: Oh, come on - not again. He's told this joke, like, 10 times now.

Tom: It's not a joke. It's the truth, but it's embarrassing.

Georg: [rolls eyes]

Bill: I love dogs, but that's not embarrassing. I just really love dogs. You know, if I see a dog I just go crazy.

Any kind in particular?

Bill: No, any dog. When I see a dog, it's like, "Oh my God, come here, come here!"

Tom: And Georg really likes to surf videos on YouPorn, and that's also embarassing. [Laughs] I'm joking.

Georg, is it true that you like Nickelback?

Georg: Yeah, I love Nickelback.

Tom: I really like the video for Rockstar because there's Kendra and, uh, from the Playboy Mansion - the three Bunnies. So that's a great video.

Are there any other Canadian bands that you know of and like?

Gustav: Is King's X from Canada?

No, don't think so.

Bill: Billy Talent are cool.

Nice. Hey Georg, does it bother you when people call you "George"?

Georg: Um, people can call me whatever they want - Georg or George.

Tom: Or you know, on his case where he stores his bass, he wrote "David Listing." [laughs] He likes the name David because of Hasselhoff. George Hasslehoff!

Georg: [groans]

[all laugh]

So last time you were in Toronto, you went up the CN Tower and went shopping at the Eaton Centre and went a bit unnoticed. Do you like that? Was it refreshing not to be attacked by throngs of fans for once?

Bill: That's always the goal, to go into a city and at first no one recognizes you, but we really want people to see us and to have fans. And now it's really cool that we have Canadian fans and that we're playing a concert tomorrow night. So I think it's better when people recognize you. That's good for a band.

Tom: It's always the goal that people recognize you on the street.

Bill: But of course, sometimes when you have free time, it's nice when no one recognizes you and you can just chill.

Tom: But that's boring.

Well, your fanbase is growing in Canada and now people know you are here for the night - they'll be looking for you.

Bill: Yeah, I think there will be some fans at the hotel tonight, but our schedule is so tight so that we are doing a lot of photoshoots and interviews during the day, so we don't have as much time this time to go out and check out things in the city.

Well, is there anything about fame that you find annoying?

Bill: I hate paparazzi, I really hate paparazzi.

Tom: Especially when we're on holidays.

Bill: Yeah, especially on holidays, it's just terrible. I hate them in Europe. In America there are also paparazzi, but not as as bad as in Europe. It's very terrible, I hate it.

So are you constantly on edge when you're walking around? Do you always notice them? Are they hiding behind corners or in bushes...?

Tom: Well, yeah, it depends. Sometimes on holidays, they hide. But, you know, on the street they just attack us.

Bill: Yeah, you know, it's OK to, I dunno, when it's at a concert or whatever, but in free time or when you're in private, I think it's just annoying.

So we all know how you got your name, but how did you come up with your band's symbol/logo?

Tom: You know, the idea was that in this logo we had a lot of T's and a lot of H's. And, yeah, that's what it is - it wasn't meant to be a big deal.

Bill: We just wanted something that was very simple. And, like, everyone can draw it and that was the idea so you can paint it on walls --

Tom: -- or windows --

Bill: -- or my neck. [laughs]

Who designed it?

Bill: We did it together with a guy --

Tom: I think it was my idea.

[all groan]

Have you ever actually worn traditional German clothing like lederhosen for Oktoberfest?

Tom: No, never. Sometimes Georg does, when he's dancing to David Hasselhoff.

Bill: We've never even been to Oktoberfest so far.

Tom: No, I hate Oktoberfest.

Do you drink beer?

Tom: Yeah, we drink a lot of beer, but not at Oktoberfest.

Well, I read this study that states the average German drinks 120 liters of beer per year.

Tom: We drink that in one month.

[all laugh]

Bill: No, we drink a lot of beer, but in America it's really hard because you have to be 21 to drink alcohol.

Tom: But not in Canada, right?

No, here in Ontario it's 19.

Tom: 19?

Gustav: [throws hands up into the air] YES!

[all laugh]

But in Montreal, it's 18.

Georg: We LOVE Montreal!

Bill: It's hard, because in Germany you have to be 18 and we were always, like, "Oh, c'mon - 18, 18, 18..." and now we are 18 and we come to America.

Tom: And you have to be 21.

Do you have any favourite kinds of beer?

Bill: Um, Heineken. Heineken is a nice beer.

Tom: I don't care.

Georg: I prefer German beer.

Gustav: I like the Czech Budweiser.

Nice, I'll have to try it. Enough about beer - back to the music. Do you have any plans to do any future collaborations with any other bands?

Tom: There's nothing planned yet, but we would love to do some collaborations.

Is there anyone in particular you'd love to work with?

Bill: Yeah, I dunno - I think there are some dreams for every band to do something with, like, the Rolling Stones or whatever, but I think, yeah, let's see.

Tom: In the summer we go back into the studio to record some songs, and I say, let's see what happens.

Bill: And then we can talk to other people, but I'm not sure, I don't have anyone in mind yet.

David Hasselhoff?

Tom: Yeah, David Hasselhoff! That would be great for Georg. Maybe a dancing project with Georg and David Hasselhoff. [laughs]

Speaking of dancing, a fan wanted to know if you, Tom, knew the Soulja Boy dance.

Tom: Yeah, I know the Soulja Boy dance, but I'm not a good dancer. No, Georg can do it, he's a very good dancer.

Can we video you doing it and put it up on YouTube?

Tom: Yeah, Georg can. He was doing the dance in the hotel room [laughs]. Yeah, Georg can do it. [laughs] No, I'm not a dancer. I'm a shy guy.

Georg: Oh, c'mon. You showed it to me this morning!

Tom: No, that was you!

Bill: I don't know this dance.

Tom: I've seen the video and the personal videos that people have uploaded to YouTube who do the dance, but you know, I'm not a dancer - I'm more a sexy guitar player [laughs].

Tomorrow night at the concert, we want to see the dance.

Tom: Yeah, maybe at the show. Together with David Hasselhoff and Georg.

Bild interview with Bill & Tom

Germany's most successful rock band "Tokio Hotel" are still on their promotion tour in the USA for their English album "Scream" ("Schrei"). They flew after a tv-performance in New York to Los Angeles at the weekend, where they will perform today a concert. BILD talked with the twins Bill (18) and Tom Kaulitz (18) about their success in America.

BILD: You've just arrived in Los Angeles. What is the difference for you between L.A. and New York?

Bill: These are two entirely different worlds for me. New York is much more European. L.A. is more like what a European imagines as America.

BILD: Tomorrow you'll play the first complete concert after Bill's OP in Hollywood. Are you excited?

Bill: Yes, sure, shit, we're in panic because of our excitement. Furthermore it's the only US-concert. We are always nervous, but this time it's even worse.

BILD: How do you feel now after you're so successful in the USA?

Tom: We are so happy about the big fan-resonance here in the USA, but nevertheless I see the whole thing more as a first succès dèstime.

BILD: You call that a succès dèstime? Usually you're not that modest.

Tom: Don't worry, when we talk the next time about girls, then I'll be immodest again for sure (laughs) No, seriously: I believe the really big USA-success will only come with complete new and worldwide not released songs. We have the aim to release the third album worldwide at the same time.

Bill: But we're of course very happy anyway and thankful for what happens here right now in the USA. Some months ago we would never have expected that. But we just don't want to overrate the US-success so far.

'OLD' TH interview

Although it's old, it's definitely worth a read. Have a look at a TH article from "Hitkrankt 13".

Tokio Hotel are gonna solve all your problems!

Are you in love with Bill and don't know what to do? Or do want the same hair as Tom? The boys themselves give the solution to the problems of their fans.

Problem 1
I am in love with Bill, but will probably never meet him.
Bill: Oh, I don't know what to say to this. If you really are in love with me you should….(Bill is thinking) Maybe you should come to one of our concerts and maybe I'll see you there then.

Tom: I actually wanna say something to this: you should be in love with me. Then it will all be alright!

Bill: Maybe you should just think to yourself that I am just a normal guy like any other. Does that heal a little bit of your broken heart?

Problem 2
I am a Tokio Hotel fan and my class mates that are not tease me about it.
Bill: I think you just shouldn't respond to it and just take it.

Tom: Bill and I where also teased in school by people that hated us and that almost didn't influence us. For that matter, I am actually proud of the fact that I wasn't like the rest of the class. Bill and I thought it was more important to do other stuff, we didn't wanted to be wannabees. Being teased can clearly also have a positive effect. Just look at us.

Problem 3
My parents won't let me go to a Tokio Hotel concert!
All four together: That is bullshit!

Tom: Our parents always allowed us to go to concerts. I was nine when I went to my first live concert and think everyone should have that freedom.

Bill: It is also stupid to forbid something like that, cause fans will eventually find a way to go to the concert.

Georg: The best is just to let your children free in this. To let them decide if they wanna go to a concert or not.

Tom: You know what I want? I wanna talk with the parents of our fans about this. Just give me their addresses, I will solve this.

Gustav: Exactly, just let them contact us, we will arrange something.

Problem 4
I want the same hair as Tom, how do I do that?
Georg: Oh, that is difficult!

Tom: And he is even right for once. I have really smooth hair from myself and it is costing me a lot of trouble to keep it up every day. For one thing, you have to turn it again every day and I have a special spray to keep it well. What's in it, I won't tell, just know that I have been working on it in my little laboratory for hours (laughs). At least it is specially made for me and it is an awful lot of work. How long do I have it this way?

Georg: Just smell it, then you know!

Tom: I think about ten or eleven years.

Problem 5
I am not allowed to hang Tokio Hotel posters in my room.
Bill: I used to have my room filled with it.

Tom: Exactly, he even had posters of me. Then he would make pictures of me and have them printed large and hang them on his wall.

Bill: Ach, halt die klappe! (Shut up!) That is not true…but I think everyone should have been fan of someone in there lives, meaning you also should have your room filled with posters. As a parent you should just allow that. They have been fan of someone too in there lives, right? I always used to love listening to the music of my favourite band in my room.

Tom: Used to? He still does that!

Problem 6
Where can I buy the cool clothes the boys wear?
Tom: If you wanna look like Georg, all you have to do isn't wash yourself for a month and then your done.

Georg: For example, yes.

Tom: And Bill? You really don't wanna look like that, do you?

Bill: I always buy my clothes at second hand stores, that's where you can get the most awesome clothes. So my tip is looking there if you want my look.

Problem 7
I feel bad because Gustav and Georg get less attention than Bill and Tom. Tom: Do you know why that is? They talk less and are more quiet then Bill and me. It would also be bad if they start talking more, cause they just don't know how to say what they mean. Have you ever heard these two talk German? It is just awful. There English is dramatic but there German is actually just as bad!

Bill: Georg and Gustav are just more quiet and don't look for the attention. We have gotten used to it, it's just how it goes.

Georg: I also feel comfortable with it and…(long pause),

Bill: That's all he can say

Gustav: He is just using our typical answer: I feel comfortable with it.

Problem 8
I would love to talk to Tokio hotel but I don't know German
Bill: You can also talk English to us. Now we can speak it just a little.

Tom: We know just enough to talk to fans….

Bill: …and make short conversations

Tom: We actually know just enough

Bill: But we are working on improving it. We are going more often to America and England now so it is easier if you can speak the language. I hope we will get it soon.

Bill speaks !

10 days after surgery the Tokio Hotel singer is allowed to speak again. Doctors state a “successful surgery”, Bill (18) is allowed to sing again in a month’s time.

His first word was “Ahhh”

… and then he tried “one, two, three”

Day 10 after the vocal cord surgery of Bill (18). The day the Tokio Hotel singer has been waiting for, [the day] he was allowed to speak again. But just how easy is it if you weren’t allowed to say anything for such a long time? B.Z. enquires.

Initially the first words spoken by Bill after the surgery were a cautious and tentatively "Ahhh" and that was followed by sound check-like "one, two, three", manager and producer David Jost (35) explains. According to Jost, he squeezed them out cautiously and thankfully is not be in pain anymore.

Nevertheless, the teen-favourite has to abide by strict doctors’ regulations, "Bill has to continue to inhale a lot and should speak only quite cautiously and as little as possible. “Bill is not allowed to make phone calls at all," says Jost. However, little-Bill is an ambitious fella: "Bill wants to get back on stage as quickly as possible and is putting way too much mental pressure on himself, in my opinion.”

The schedule was already fully booked over the next weeks. However, Jost is a considerate manager: "To relieve him from the pressure and to provide him with more time for his recovery and voice rehabilitation we moved the Conan O' Brien TV show in New York from 28th April to 9th May. We cancelled the concert in Washington D.C. on 1st May and we will move the signing at the Virgin-Mega-Store on Times Square from 29th April to 6th May."

Presumably the first brief performance of the band will be in front of approximately 30,000 people at the Bamboozle festival in New York on 3rd May.
